Type 1 diabetes is a common form of diabetes in children. The presenting complaints commonly are excessive thirst, excessive urine, weight loss and increased hunger. In this diabetes the insulin is not formed and hence needs treatment with insulin. However, the right answer/ therapy to this condition is NOT JUST INSULIN. It requires a complete management of diabetes diet, care, glucose monitoring, handling daily issues, coping with this condition and living daily with it is a challenge.
